The River Orkla gave the fishermen perfect conditions at the opening of this new season. Perfect waterflow, temperatures at 12c water/20c air and beautifull weather all night long. Opening hours at the Lodge gave 3 salmons (8 kg - 9 and 5 kg) shows that there are salmons at the river ! It looks like the big ones are running on like usual, but allso that the medium-weight ones are early on the river this season. Maybe those are the grillse that never showed up last year that this season are in a hurry to run the river. The salmons so far are in great condition. There are still a lot of snow in the surrounding mountains that will give good waterlow in the river for long time.
